Set out your goals and surround yourself with like-minded people who will help support you on your journey to achieving those goals (and vice versa).
Get involved in extra-curricular activities as they really enrich your academic experience.
Don’t compromise your health and well-being for academics.
Networking is really important! Make friends among your peers and the faculty/staff of your program/college.
Take pictures of your experiences. Undergrad goes by so quickly, and you want those memories captured for a lifetime!

“1. Keep taking on new challenges. I learned almost as much from my extracurricular activities and student jobs as I did from my undergraduate degree.
2. Mental health is important. Take care of yours and don’t be afraid to ask for help.
3. If you want to go to graduate school or a post-secondary program, it’s usually important to make sure you keep your marks up. You may not be thinking about this in first or second year, but it never hurts to try and keep those doors open in future.
4. If something is not working, don’t be afraid to switch programs. I did that after second year and it was a great decision for me.“
