Get involved as much as you can during your undergrad. You can do this by building your Co-Curricular Record or getting involved in the wider community. The post-secondary experience shouldn’t only be about getting good grades. It’s a place for you to connect, establish new relationships, and start building your network!

“Don’t be too focused on what you want to do after U of T – enjoy your time there and learn as much as you can. What comes next will come together naturally, and will be informed by your academic interests, peers, and community involvement. Do work that matters.”

“Let your courses and professors spark your inspiration. One of my favourite classes was “Sociology of Aids” – which introduced me to Malcolm Gladwell and the concept of tipping point, which inspired me to explore that concept against the backdrop of consumer products (and marketing) and climate change. School is the match, you make the fire.”

Career Description

“Don’t be afraid to switch academic tracks. Completion of an undergraduate degree is not a race, it’s an exploration. Learning how to learn and have a flexible and critical mindset are the most valuable outcomes. Don’t worry about competing with others, challenge yourself to new heights of learning and expansion you are your main project. Enjoy it.”
